Responsibilities
Peraton seeks an
Application Developer
to provide Information Environment software development & testing. Location: Fort Meade, MD.
Tasks include:Connect with other data repository owners/developers to ensure efficient data flow between supporting/ supported data sources, utilizing Application Programming Interface (i.e., Representational State Transfer (REST) API, RESTful web services etc.) developmentUpdate and maintain the development, test and integration, and production environments for an Inspection Information Environment (including but not limited to MarkLogic, MongoDB, Postgres, Tableau, MySQL)Conduct full stack development on both front-end and back-end development processesDesign, develop, and maintain fully-fledged and functioning platforms with databases and serversWork with development teams and product owners to create software solutions.Build front-end of applications through appealing visual designDevelop and manage well-functioning databases and applicationsWrite effective APIsTest software to ensure efficiency/responsivenessTroubleshoot, debug, and upgrade softwareCreate security and data protection settingsBuild features and applications with a mobile responsive designWrite technical documentationCollaborate with data scientists and analysts to improve softwareDesign client-side and server-side architecture
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Will consider HS+16 years of experience.Must have a bachelor's degree from a program related to science and technology such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experienceHave five years of experience or more in software development/engineering in programs of similar scope, type, and complexityAble to perform ingest/extract on a variety of formats (i.e., PDF, Office, HTML, XML, JSON, CSV etc.)Experience with Agile sprints - meetings and retrospectiveExperience with Automated Builds (CI/CD) PipelineAble to produce System Documentation, DevSecOps SOPs, TTPs, and PracticesAble to maintain a Code RepositoryDOD 8140 IAT Level II certification required for this position. Must be able to obtain a qualifying IAT Level II certification within 60 days of employment. Must maintain certification in ATCTS for duration of project assignment.Active TS/SCI clearanceU.S Citizen

Target Salary Range
