POSITION SUMMARY:The Host/Producer will serve as producer and host of 12 digital stories, but as many as 18 digital stories, that will be placed on Delta College Public Media digital platforms. These stories will also be turned into multiple 30-minute episodes which will be broadcast throughout the calendar year. The Host/Producer will develop relevant topics and story ideas focusing on the African American community in consultation with the WDCQ Advisory Committee.The Host/Producer will consult in the selection and editing of appropriate clips from the raw video and audio footage, write the narration scripts for each segment or story, and be available for previewing the completed video interviews and topical segments at the monthly WDCQ Advisory Committee meeting. The Host/Producer will keep all social media platforms up to date and create original content that will only appear on all social media platforms.The Host/Producer will assist in the production of TV and radio promotional announcements to promote the program, provide program synopsis of each episode to the TV Programming department for documentation and publicity purposes, and identify budget and cost issues in a timely manner.
