The Executive Director of the KMH Center is responsible for working with the Blank School CEO, KMH Center’s team, Advisory Board, the leadership of Babson College and the Kletjian Foundation, Babson faculty, and potentially non-Babson faculty who affiliate with the Center, and other stakeholders to coordinate all activities of the KMH Center; providing campus leadership for initiatives driving innovation in health and healthcare systems with a focus on unmet needs and underserved markets; developing and implementing programs supporting the education and professional development of personnel involved in innovation in health systems; serving as a global ambassador for the KMH Center; and representing the Center externally.
The Kerry Murphy Healey Center for Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship (KMH Center) is where innovation meets entrepreneurship to achieve health, economic, and social value for all, with a focus on health equity and justice.
The KMH Center has three significant areas of activity that impact a diverse set of stakeholders, including undergraduate and graduate students, Babson alumni, corporations, foundations, and entrepreneurial leaders in the health sector.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provides strategic direction and leadership towards the achievement of the Center’s mission and goals.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Center, leads the development and delivery of signature programs, develops and maintains a world-class advisory board, manages the budget, works towards financial sustainability through revenue generation and fundraising efforts, anticipates problems and issues and initiates appropriate action without supervision.
Creates, leads, and maintains a world-class advisory board to support the development and growth of the Center.
Partners with appropriate Babson College units to advance shared objectives and integrate technology, AI, innovation, and entrepreneurship into all levels of curriculum across the organization.
Works closely with the Advancement team to identify and pursue funding opportunities.
Responsible for ensuring revenue generation and funding sources exceed Center expenses and costs.
Works closely with the Faculty Chair and Academic Affairs to identify and pursue grant opportunities.
Designs, develops, and delivers effective and engaging programs, courses, sessions, etc.
Serves as the “voice” of KMH within the internal Babson community and other divisions.
Collaborates with College Marketing to ensure communication objectives are reached.
Builds relationships with external stakeholders that align with the Center’s mission and objectives.
Manages the annual budget process as well as P/L, monthly, and quarterly financial updates.
Serves as a member of the Blank School Senior Leadership team.
Leads and develops a high-performing team and creates a positive culture of growth and innovation.
Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience.
At least 10-15+ years of healthcare, life sciences, or related experience in a leadership role.
Experience building and managing high-profile new initiatives, ventures, or programs.
Strategic opportunity, business development, and competitive assessment experience.
Proven ability to fundraise.
Significant personnel management experience.
Experience working as part of a leadership team and coordinating with internal and external partners.
Self-starter with the ability to lead and motivate others.
Leadership, judgment, and creative problem-solving experience.
Understanding of international cultures and business practices.
Program and project management expertise.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer and internet skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong financial, budgetary, presentation, database management, and supervisory skills.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to work with all constituencies.
Ability to create an environment where direct reports can take initiative.
Ability to embrace ideas and changes created by all community members.
Ability to work independently to solve problems.
Ability to anticipate and effectively handle change.
HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORKMust be able to travel domestically and internationally as appropriate to develop new partnerships and to represent the Center.

PhD preferred.
