Serves as a core member of the IT leadership team and works to identify ways information technology tools and services can enable Scottish Rite for Children in successfully achieving strategic and operational goals.Demonstrates a strong working-knowledge of healthcare (hospital-based) operations and ensures the Enterprise Applications and Integration team in combination with the IT division as a whole successfully delivers on established customer expectations and goals.Builds and sustains a proactive, highly-effective customer relationship management function by proactively engaging customers, clarifying customer needs and expectations, and delivering innovative, reliable, and responsive, value-driven solutions.Works with the CIO, IT leadership, and organizational leaders to support SRC’s cybersecurity efforts to proactively protect against and remediate all cyber threats.Works with the CIO and IT leadership to onboard new enterprise applications and deliver responsive and reliable application functionality and performance.Proactively identifies operational and clinical workflow improvements that enhance physician and clinical staff productivity and efficiency, promotes patient and family engagement, strengthens SRC research and educational programs, and enables seamless integration with other SRC’s information systems and technical infrastructure capabilities.Identifies and implements innovative technologies and approaches that enhance service delivery, staff capabilities, and cost structure of the Enterprise Applications and Integration division and IT organization as a whole.Develops, implements, and manages the Enterprise Applications and Integration budget and spend.Anticipates and plans for future needs and establishes an annual work-plan to ensure that Enterprise Applications and Integration division goals and objectives align with the needs of SRC.Participates in the review and negotiation of SRC contracts, responsible for terms and conditions that relate to application functionality, support, and integration.Establishes and maintains effective relationships with third-party application and integration suppliers.Functions as an escalation point for issues with the delivery of Enterprise Applications and Integration. Works with the Enterprise Applications and Integration team members, other IT leaders, and operational staff to achieve timely resolutions.Participates in relevant SRC committee activities.Supervisory Responsibilities:Leads a staff of clinical, financial, and technical professionals and managers, including employees and contractors onsite, virtual, and potentially offshore.Organizes and leads the Enterprise Applications and Integration team in a way that emphasizes a strong customer service focus, proactive communication, and timely follow-up that maximizes efficiency, creativity, and productivity.Evaluates staff performance providing timely, objective, and constructive feedback.Establishes, measures, and communicates goals, objectives, and performance through objective and meaningful operational metrics.Required Skills/Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing, information technology, or related field is required; master’s degree is highly preferred.Minimum of 10 years increasingly responsible management experience in a healthcare environment, with at least 5 years of that experience gained leading clinical, financial, and administrative application development, configuration, and support in a hospital-based environment.Excellent working knowledge and hands-on experience leading the enhancement and support of the Epic EHR environment is required.Excellent working knowledge and hands-on experience leading the enhancement and support of the Workday ERP environment is highly desirable.Demonstrated working knowledge and experience leading the transition from a project to product development (Agile) and support model is desirable.Strong working knowledge of and direct healthcare project management experience leading planning and implementation of large, complex projects and programs of work is required.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.Demonstrated track record of delivering goal-oriented, performance-based results is essential.Demonstrated track record of leading enterprise-wide organizational change impacting a broad spectrum of diverse stakeholders involving workflow enhancement and technological change is required.Demonstrated success in engaging and translating physician, clinical, and administrative workflow requirements into efficient workable, technology-enabled business solutions is essential.Experience in effective deployment and oversight of alternative development, implementation, and support solutions, such as third-party contracting and nearshoring/offshoring.About Us
