Join us!The Sr. Community Marketing Manager will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and management of Zip’s community efforts, primarily focused on our Margin Makers
community. This role will focus on three main pillars:
Advisory & Thought Leadership ,
Community Forum & Engagement , and
Community Learning & Development
(in a supporting capacity). The ideal candidate will be a proactive community builder with experience in growing B2B communities, developing content strategies, and driving member engagement through events, forums, and learning initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
1. Community Events & EngagementPlan and execute
virtual and in-person events
for the community, including
monthly meetups
and major events like our annual conference,
Zip Forward , held in San Francisco.
Lead the strategy and logistics for additional community events, such as
Zip Forward on the Road
in New York or London.
Collaborate with the events and marketing teams to ensure
seamless execution
of community-centric events, driving attendance and engagement.
2. Advisory & Thought LeadershipCollaborate closely with content, research, and advisory teams to develop and execute a robust community strategy for the
Margin Makers
community.
Curate and manage thought leadership content, including
webinars ,
panel discussions , and
advisory sessions
that highlight industry insights and expert contributions from our customers and partners.
Build relationships with community leaders and key stakeholders to feature their expertise through
blog posts ,
interviews , and
event speaking opportunities .
Own the program management and strategy for
Margin Makers , ensuring alignment with Zip's broader marketing goals.
3. Community Forum & EngagementManage the
Margin Makers community forum , ensuring active engagement, knowledge sharing, and meaningful interactions among members.
Act as the community
moderator , facilitating discussions, answering questions, and providing guidance on best practices.
Develop and manage
user groups
based on member roles, industries, or areas of interest to foster deeper connections.
Create and execute initiatives to showcase community leaders through
spotlights
and
recognition programs .
4. Community Learning & Development (Supporting Role)Partner with the
Head of Education
to support the promotion and programmatic efforts of Zip’s
learning and certification programs
within the community.
Assist in aligning educational content such as
webinars ,
certifications , and
boot camps
with broader community and marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience
in community management, marketing, or a related role within a B2B SaaS or technology company.
Proven experience in
building and scaling online communities , with a focus on
content creation ,
event management , and
engagement strategies .
Strong understanding of
community platforms
and tools for online discussions, webinars, and event management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for facilitating conversations and
building relationships
within the community.
Event planning experience
across virtual and in-person formats.
Ability to work cross-functionally with content, product, and marketing teams to execute community programs.
Familiarity with procurement, finance, or B2B industries
is a plus.
The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $165,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.Perks & Benefits
