Location: Work From Home, United StatesJob Summary:
The Director, Commercial Credit Products Operations is responsible for providing risk and governance oversight for the enterprise 1LOD Credit Products organization. The associate will report to the Head of Credit Products and drive ongoing governance for credit underwriting and portfolio management operational processes and loan portfolio governance.This role includes:Regulatory compliance, operational risk management, and audit and exam readiness.Cross department reporting facilitation and maintenance.Direct management responsibility of Credit Products operations staff.Developing and staffing necessary infrastructure to remediate regulatory concerns and support scalable growth.Developing and maintaining credit underwriting and portfolio management process maps.Job Responsibilities:Manage regulatory compliance, audit, and credit review-related functions for 1LOD Credit Products.Monitor lending-related activities for compliance with regulatory requirements and established policies.Identify compliance problems and recommend corrective actions.Maintain ongoing communication to identify compliance and operational risks.Act as the Department's primary liaison to 1LOD Compliance and Controls.Own process flow charts and operational control oversight.Serve as escalation point for operational, regulatory, or risk issues.Assist management in audit preparation and follow-up.Manage and develop credit support staff, fostering a high-performing team.Facilitate logistics for internal and external exams and reviews.Responsible for portfolio risk oversight transparency.Act as Plan Manager for the Department's Business Continuity Plan.Deliver training and development to Credit Products underwriters and portfolio managers.Additional Accountabilities:Perform special projects and additional duties as required.Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards.Job Requirements:Required Qualifications:Education: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent).Experience: 12+ years of banking experience focused on operational risk and transformation.Management: Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.Consulting experience with a focus on Financial Institutions is strongly desired.Significant Project Management experience.Preferred Qualifications:Education: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent).Experience in managing projects.PMP designation.Job Competencies:Thorough knowledge of banking policies, procedures, practices, programs, and regulations.Knowledge of banking software platforms such as nCino and AFS.Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Bank personnel.Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach subordinates.Strong planning, organization, and execution skills.Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
