Payroll and Benefits Specialist Fall 2024Washington Episcopal School, established in 1986, is an independent, co-educational school for approximately 310 students, from PreK3 through Grade 8, located in Bethesda, MD. The role will be an integral part of the Business Office, responsible for but not limited to coordinating and processing payroll, gathering and processing new hire documents, issuing employment contracts, PTO maintenance, administrating employees’ benefits, assisting with periodic surveys for various school industry organizations, and serving as the point person for all benefit related questions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Process semi-monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.Manage employee benefits enrollment and changes, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.Responsible for reviewing quarterly federal and state tax reporting requirements and annual W2 and ACA forms reporting.Assist with 403B plan census and Form 5500 preparation.Maintain accurate employee records in our ADP system and ensure data integrity.Contribute to the development and implementation of new payroll and benefits policies and procedures.Provide exceptional customer service to employees, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.Assist with other duties as assigned.Competencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Time management skills – Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.Accuracy – Produces results with high accuracy. This is a must.Attention to details – Must pay close attention to details.
