Help cross-functional teams within Caterpillar maintain financial accountability for cloud services. Manage increasing the business value of cloud, enable distributed teams to fully understand cloud costs with speed and quality by engineering more efficient cloud architectures and infrastructures. Engage engineers in cost savings, establish a long-term cost-saving process, optimize infrastructure expenses, and identify waste to bring observability by using a financial cloud management approach.Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering, including Mechanical or a related field, and 1 year of experience as a Software Engineer, FinOps Engineer, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with:Agile Framework;Software development requirements and experience finding optimal and cost-efficient solutions for deployment in the cloud;AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.;AWS cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Cost Anomaly Detection, Budgets and Forecasting, Savings Plans, etc.;Excel experience with creating Pivot Tables and Macros for automating Excel data;FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar;AWS certified: Cloud Solutions Architect;Experience with AWS Tagging;Python.Applicants who are interested in this position should apply at
