This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in one of the city’s most esteemed social service organizations, renowned for its dedication to supporting vulnerable populations.About St. Anthony’s Foundation:For nearly 75 years, St. Anthony’s Foundation has served as a beacon of hope in the Tenderloin district. With dignity and respect, St. Anthony’s provides a dining room with hot, nutritious meals; a clothing program with new and gently used clothing; a resource center offering case management services and a food pantry; community safety services through a social enterprise and alternative security model; a medical clinic with primary and specialized care for children and adults; addiction recovery with a 12-month residential recovery program; a tech lab with computer access and instruction; transitional employment with pathways to stability; women’s and children’s services with integrated care for women and their families; a hygiene hub with showers, bathrooms, and laundry facilities; a welcome center for connecting guests to resources for achieving self-sufficiency; and St. Clare’s Care, a safe place to rest and rejuvenate. St. Anthony’s operates entirely on private funding, which allows for operational freedom and flexibility in addressing the evolving needs of the community. Guided by Franciscan values of healing, community, personalism, justice, and gratitude, St. Anthony’s strives to create an inclusive environment where all individuals can thrive.About the Position:Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and sustainability of St. Anthony’s Foundation. A qualified and competitive candidate will bring at least two years of experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in California with a strong background in nonprofit financial management. The position is responsible for:Overseeing all financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.Leading a team of financial professionals, fostering their development and cohesion.Collaborating closely with clinic staff to optimize revenue cycle management and compliance with state laws.The short-term goal for the new CFO will be to optimize budgeting and revenue cycle management. In the long term, the CFO will drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing service offerings and securing diversified funding streams.Size of organization:
275 fulltime employees and annual operating budget of $35M.Departments overseen by CFO:
Finance and Real Estate/Facilities Management.Location:
The CFO will work on-site daily for the first six months, followed by a hybrid work schedule.Salary range:
