Deputy Director of Science and Technology

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY , MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI), to join MIT’s hub for low and no-carbon energy research, education, and outreach. Will act as second in command for this dynamic organization on topics related to creating a clean, affordable, and equitable energy system.Responsibilities include:Engaging with MITEI stakeholders, both on- and off-campus, to identify opportunities where its faculty and staff can have high impact, develop solutions, and bring them to global scale.Playing a key role in MITEI’s ongoing activities, including connecting its members to MIT principal investigators to pursue research projects, conferences, and symposia and promote its work to internal and external communities.Providing strategic leadership and vision, including matching potential research sponsors with MIT capabilities and fostering relationships with industrial, public, and non-profit partners.Assisting with directing MITEI staff--especially in education, research, and communications--to develop and implement programs, projects, and events.Collaborating with the director on supporting MITEI’s priorities and continued success.A full description is available
