Director of Sales - Retail

to lead and expand our Retail Supply Chain segment across North America. In this key leadership role, you will set the sales strategy, coach a high-performing team, and drive growth by introducing innovative packaging solutions to major retail partners. If you have a proven track record in retail sales, a deep understanding of the supply chain, and are excited by the opportunity to sell emerging products, we want to hear from you! This position is classified as US Remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and grow Tosca’s Retail Sales team in North America, developing and executing strategies that drive profitable growth.

Train, mentor, and support your team in best sales practices, empowering them to effectively communicate Tosca’s value proposition to retail clients.

Build and execute retail market strategies focused on key retail supply chains such as produce, meat, seafood, eggs, and e-commerce.

Foster strong relationships with retail decision-makers across supply chain, logistics, warehousing, sustainability, and procurement functions.

Identify opportunities for new packaging solutions that add value and drive efficiencies in both existing and emerging supply chains.

Collaborate with leadership on RPC (Reusable Plastic Containers) conversions and penetration strategies at the retail level.

Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and retail market demands, ensuring Tosca remains a leader in innovation.

Lead team efforts in closing high-value sales opportunities and developing strong sales pipelines.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of retail sales experience, with expertise in retail, perishable goods, or packaging.

Commercial Background:

Proven experience in business-to-business sales, managing high-value relationships, and closing strategic deals.

Leadership:

Demonstrated success in leading and developing sales teams, with the ability to foster collaboration, accountability, and results.

Industry Knowledge:

Deep understanding of the retail industry, supply chain operations, and trends that impact retail packaging solutions.

Skills:

Strong ability to analyze supply chains, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop strategies that maximize profitability.

Entrepreneurial Spirit:

High energy, results-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with ambitious goals.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Travel:

Willingness to travel 30-60% of the time to build relationships and oversee sales efforts.

Technical Proficiency:

Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook, with strong communication and presentation abilities.
