1Summary
The
Proposal Coordinator
is responsible for supporting the business development lifecycle across multiple opportunities, working as a collaborative team member. This role entails coordinating capture and proposal activities, managing tasks within the proposal process, and contributing to the organization's strategic growth objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a working knowledge of the federal contracting environment, proposal management, and be able to lead proposal sections as needed. This is an onsite position that can be located in either our McLean, VA or Orlando, FL offices.Duties and Responsibilities
Capture & Proposal Coordination
Support the development and execution of capture strategies, including competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and price-to-win efforts.Coordinate business development and proposal planning activities, including proposal schedules, gate reviews, and strategy workshops.Organize and participate in internal and external meetings to gather insights on acquisition strategies, requirements, and customer needs.Prepare and deliver reports and executive presentations to support capture efforts.Market Research & Analysis
Conduct market research to gather insights on customer preferences, industry competitors, and market trends.Collaborate with team members to identify new business opportunities and assess the competitive landscape.Proposal Development
Coordinate the proposal development process, ensuring compliance with requirements and alignment with win themes.Draft proposal sections, such as project management plans, past performance, and staffing plans, and contribute to overall content development.Assist in writing responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and preparing white papers for customers.Pipeline & Relationship Management
Support the management of the business development pipeline, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.Foster positive relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to strengthen proposal efforts.Assist in organizing and attending industry events, conferences, and customer visits to enhance market insight and networking opportunities.Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or a related field.Experience
4-8 years of experience in business development, capture management, or proposal coordination in the federal contracting space.Knowledge of the federal contracting process and familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).Strong skills in project coordination, strategic thinking, and analytical problem-solving.Technical Proficiency
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, CRM tools, and other relevant software.Basic understanding of NAICS codes, PSCs, and teaming strategies.Skills & Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and independently when required.Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field.Certification in proposal management methodologies (e.g., Shipley).Experience with government contracts, such as GSA schedules or other IDIQ contracts, and various contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M).Work Conditions
