Trinitas Medical Center is looking for a Director of the WIC Program based in Elizabeth, NJ.Qualifications:
Required:Master's Degree in nutrition, public health, administration or a related fieldRegistered Dietitian with a BA/BS in nutrition or related fieldExperience working with grants, SAGE2+ years of WIC administration experienceCertifications and Licenses Required:
Registered DietitianScheduling Requirements:
Shift working, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM each dayDays to workFull-TimeEssential Functions:
Responsible for grant preparation and implementation of WIC services at the sponsor agencyServes as Liaison between the NJWIC and RWJBH/TRMCEstablishes program goals in areas of caseload, nutrition, breastfeeding, outreach and as designated by community needs assessmentUses System Administration Grants Electronically - prepare grants and revisions according to guidelinesPrepares purchase justifications and requisitions according to NJWIC guidelines and the organizationEstablishes/Processes program agreements required to ensure provision of WIC servicesMaintains contractual documents as required for fiscal yearPrepares and orders equipment and suppliesEstablishes staffing needsConducts needs assessment and establishes program objectives, evaluation, and monitors complianceMaintains equipment inventory and assignmentCaseload Management - Establishes number of participants to be served during the three-year grant period and makes adjustments based on food dollar funding and/or administrative fundingEstablishes caseload goals and revises as neededForecasts projected funding requirementsSecures space for the operation of services for the entire service areaPlans office layout and service coordinationWorks with local Health departments to coordinate services for target areasPrepares for space lease agreements and subcontracts under the provisions of the grantDevelops job descriptions and plans staffing requirementsCompletes employee evaluations and trainingCompletes conflict of interest/separation of duties document annuallyCompletes continuous time reportsDevelops annual outreach plan and submits required reportsWorks with community partnersDevelops community resource listing for making referrals; website, Facebook, participant portals and advisements are developed and monitoredOther Duties:
