Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO), this role will shape the strategic messaging for the executive team, with a particular focus on public affairs, crisis communications, and media relations. This position requires a seasoned communications expert who can skillfully balance messaging across diverse stakeholder groups.Job ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will act as a senior advisor to the CCO and other executives, providing counsel on communication best practices and strategies for media engagement. You will be responsible for:Executive Communications:
Develop and implement strategic communications plans for the executive leadership team, ensuring a unified voice across speeches, public appearances, interviews, and media engagements. Work alongside the broader communications team to amplify CRH’s leadership voice both internally and externally.Crisis Communications:
Lead all crisis communications efforts, advising senior leadership on crisis response strategies to safeguard CRH’s reputation in high-stakes situations. Ensure rapid and effective response to critical incidents, protecting and enhancing the company’s reputation.Public Affairs:
Drive public affairs strategy by working with key governmental and regulatory bodies, shaping CRH’s narrative on legislative and policy matters that impact the business.Media Relations:
Build and manage strong relationships with top-tier media, ensuring that CRH’s leadership is well-positioned in the public eye through proactive storytelling and media outreach.Strategic Messaging:
Serve as a key advisor to the CCO and other executives on high-profile external communications efforts, including speeches, op-eds, and thought leadership initiatives.Corporate Reputation Management:
Work closely with external communications teams and agencies to manage CRH’s corporate reputation, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term business objectives and brand strategy. Monitor industry trends, public sentiment, and media coverage to inform communications strategies and anticipate challenges.Stakeholder Engagement:
