Responsible for subsurface utility engineering tasks using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments.
U.S. Residency Required.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesAssemble field data, records research, oversee utility designation work, prepare test hole formsProvide quality control and quality assurance on all project workNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsAbility to work on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills are a must.General understanding of SUE plan preparation using Inroads/MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3DRequired ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentA working knowledge of Federal, State and local jurisdiction regulationsFamiliarity with SUE equipment, field and office procedures, vacuum excavation desiredPreferred ExperienceExperience working with local clients at the county and state levelSupervisory experiencePE or EITBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from ABET accredited engineering programProficient in discipline specific design softwareProficient in Microsoft OfficeWritten and oral communication skillsWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
