The
Opportunity:In this role, you will report to the Manager, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.Location: Boston, MAShift: Mon - Fri, daysWage: ~$26 per hourBenefits:Health and Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision and Wellness programs (eligible for medical coverage on day 1)

What we're looking for :High School diploma or GED is required.
Minimum 2 years of inventory replenishment, material handling, and/or customer service experience is required.
Microsoft Office experience required with proficiency in Word and Excel.
Covid-19 & flu vaccinations required.
Understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, and/or purchasing required.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to display a professional, can-do demeanor required.
Effective communication in writing and verbally with both the customer and internal contacts required.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Proactive thinking with the ability to prioritize tasks, self-manage and motivate, in order to meet goals.
High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures
Cross referencing and inside sales experience strongly desired but not required.
Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances required.
How you will thrive and create an impact:Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:Be responsible for tasks in inventory management (consumables, chemicals, samples, etc.) and accurate inventory control, processing requests leading to inventory movement on and off site and fulfilling customer metric reporting.
Perform inventory management related functions such as monitoring slow moving and dead inventory, conduct cycle counting, yearly physical inventories, and reporting.
Provide daily customer service functions and communicates with the customer relative to inventory management.
Perform purchasing functions including but not limited to back-order reporting and expediting, direct factory shipments, 3rd party support, handling quotes, document control, records maintenance, and resolving open invoices or pricing issues.
Coordinate all customer service-related functions including order entry, reporting, maintaining metrics, and cost savings tracking.
Glass washing, autoclaving, and collection operations.
Handle hazardous material and prepare shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
Interface directly with customer point of contact, purchasing directors, facility directors and plant managers.
Run consigned, non-consigned, customer owned and/or 3rd party inventory.
Use Avantor and customer computer systems (SAP, Citrix, Intranet, Avantor Inventory Management Systems, ChemSW, and customer specific systems) in fulfillment of job duties.
Meet goals and objectives regarding safety, performance, and quality.
Craft programs for enhanced service efficiencies.
Working with Avantor Sales Force and manufacture representatives.
Documents organizational change.
Deliver inbound packages to customer contacts.
Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Other duties as assigned.
