What the day will look like
Day-to-day, you will provide excellent compensation consultation to aligned client groups by responding to People Organization (PO) and business unit leadership inquiries. Manage compensation policies & programs that include activities such as creating ad hoc reports, analysis and modeling to support in data-driven decision making; being proactive and identifying problem areas that need to be addressed; training (live, webinars, presentations, etc.) on the use of compensation data and programs, and proposing compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, and job changes. In addition, you will:
•Collaborate with the global comp team to administer compensation programs, complete project delivery, ensure continuous process improvement, etc.
•Lead client group in the preparation of the annual comp cycle by contributing to the drafting and delivery of communication and learning resources, testing of system capabilities, performing data integrity checks (e.g., eligibility, bonus targets, management hierarchy alignment), etc.
•Lead through the cycle with key activities that include ensuring reward principles and guidelines, budgets and deadlines are adhered to.
•Support the annual market analysis process to include survey submissions, review of results to assess market movement and evaluation of market competitiveness.
•Complete job level evaluation and benchmarking requests for new and existing positions using external market data and internal analysis; working closely with the PO team to provide guidance and education on Aon’s job level system as applicable.
•Monitor the effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation programs, making recommendations for improvement.
•Assists in the development and documentation of various plans (e.g., sales incentive plans, bonus plans, etc.).
•Supports job architecture initiatives and interacts with HRIS team to ensure jobs are created in a timely manner.

The Senior Compensation Manager supports all elements of compensation administration and consultation, including base pay and variable compensation. This position will be responsible for independently providing consultation and delivery of innovative and effective rewards solutions to internal clients in partnership with the Global Compensation team and PO as well as actively leading and supporting clients during the annual compensation review cycle.

•10+ years of relevant experience in a consultative role required (Compensation, HRIS, Finance)
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
