The agency, through its programs and services, encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society, including social, recreational, family and work activities.This is a working supervisory position in the Resource Department that assists all Tempus Unlimited Programs, Tempus consumers, and the communities in Massachusetts.This role provides information and referral services to a wide range of people including those using Tempus programs and those seeking more information outside of Tempus services. This role also establishes positive relations in the community. This role will take lead in networking to share information about Tempus programs and services, building the Zuke Resource Database, helping to share the positive impact the Tempus programs make in the community, attending community events, and community outreach.Responsible for supervising all activities and personnel associated with performing tasks and work processes assigned to the Resource Department.Actively participate as a member of the Community Services Leadership team and the Tempus Unlimited Supervisor team as part of larger organization in support of business objectives.At least one-year in a leadership or supervisory roleLooking for a leader with community services and social work/case management backgroundTravel throughout Massachusetts to conferences and participate in community eventsEssential Duties:Staff
Train and develop team through challenging assignmentsProvide resource and source documents of information to improve knowledgeDocument all resources in Zuke Resource DatabaseSupervise daily activities to ensure positive productivity and offer staff supportCreate yearly performance goals and then provide informal regular feedback
Operations
Supervise staff, organize priorities and workloadDevelop, measure, and report meaningful key metricsEstablish group targets and strategy for achieving targetsIdentify, design, and implement process improvementsSupport other department functions as necessary
Communication
Lead department meetingsLiaise with other departments as necessaryServe as point of escalation for external contactsEncourage and provide free flow of bi-directional communications
Other
Support overall mission and objectives of Tempus UnlimitedThis role is a Mandated Reporter and all suspicions will be reportedPerform other duties as assigned by Director of Community Services

At least one-year in a leadership or supervisory role. Microsoft Office,Customer service, human service and community resource work, lived and/or work experience with disability services and community resources.Education:
Bachelors or Associates, with experience. Experience may be substituted for education.Work EnvironmentThis job operates both remotely, in a professional office environment, in a community organization, or at a community event. This role routinely uses standard office equipment - computers, and phone.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee will need to carry conference boxes up to 20 pounds and other related items.
