Job Summary
The Sr Manager, Master Data Management, is responsible for supporting client Business Units' master data information management and enablement activities. Responsibilities include overseeing the master data management team and implementing continuous process improvements. The Sr Manager plays a crucial role in data governance, ensuring compliance with data policies and standards, and leading data stewardship initiatives to maintain the integrity and accuracy of data. Additionally, the Sr Manager is responsible for data cleansing efforts to eliminate inconsistencies and redundancies, thereby enhancing data quality. By working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, the Sr Manager mitigates any issues related to data quality and processes, effectively managing master data to support business needs. The Sr Manager is ultimately accountable for delivering performance levels that meet the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) established with various client Business Units.
This position will be in Irving, TX with a Hybrid schedule.
Specific Responsibilities
Customer Master Data Management
·Lead the team responsible for the creation & maintenance of master data and related enablement activities.
·Ensure clarity around priorities, goals, and key performance indicators for the entire functional area.
·Identify and deploy systems &/or process enhancements aimed at improving the master data.
·Responsible for ensuring the established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and any corrective measures to resolve gaps.
·Work in a multi-business unit environment, engaging with peers across groups to ensure collaboration & alignment of shared goals.
·Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are consistently met and aligned with organizational objectives.
·Oversee data stewardship initiatives, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the master data.
·Ensure adherence to applicable controls in accordance with SOX and/or regulatory standards and policies.
·Fosters inclusion while coaching, developing, and motivating a team of both direct and indirect associates.
·Lead, mentor, and develop a team of master data processionals.

- Sets and carries out measurable objectives to foster a culture of performance, continuous improvement, and collaboration with management, peers, and team members.

- Maintains relevant knowledge of the client BU’s businesses and stays abreast of market and industry trends and conditions.
- Acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate values.
Position Requirements
Working Experience
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Data Management, logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent, the majority (5+ years) in a management supervisory role.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Commerce, Data Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- MBA or MSc, CPIM, CPSC or SCMP designations are assets.
Personal Development and Soft Skills
- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance and effective data management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate goals, expectations, and feedback to team members and stakeholders.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a cooperative environment to achieve shared goals.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data inconsistencies, implement corrective measures, and drive continuous improvement.
- Sound decision-making skills to evaluate data quality issues, prioritize tasks, and deploy effective solutions promptly.
- Strong time management skills to balance multiple priorities, meet SLAs, and ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Ability to mentor and guide team members, helping them develop their skills and grow within the organization.
- Skilled in providing constructive feedback and creating development plans to enhance team performance and individual growth.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with use and/or deployment of MDM systems, and ERP systems experience an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant MDM systems, tools, and technologies to drive system enhancements and optimize data processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office products (Power Point, Excel, Word, Project and Visio).
- Knowledge of data management, contract management, pricing and item listing processes.
- SixSigma, or Project Management an asset
