Responsibilities

Under the direction of the PA’s Supervising Physician or Designated Agent, provides medical and surgical services to patients of the Urgent Care Clinic(s).

Ability to make responsible decisions within the scope of practice as a dependent medical practitioner.

Regular Full-time Float Providers:Act as a fill-in for any gaps in the schedule, call outs, and/ or other coverage needs.Are “un-anchored” to a specific site or clinic (floating to any site within the regional market for Legacy/ GoHealth), but with a set template (working same days each week).Shall expect last minute changes to site location(s)/ assignments, since these are subject to daily fluctuations in patient volumes and/or absences of other staff that cannot be predicted and/or easily anticipated.Shall also reasonably expect more than one Legacy/ GoHealth clinic to require assistance throughout any single workday; therefore, travel between locations is also anticipated.

Qualifications

Education:Requires Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of a PA program accredited by any of the following accrediting bodies:

Committee on Allied Health, Education Accreditation of the American Medical Association (CAHEA);Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP);Accreditation Review Commission on the Education of the PA (ARC-PA).

Experience:Minimum two years direct patient management experience in related setting, strongly preferred.Requires knowledge of professional medical practice and care to provide/evaluate patient care.Requires skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide ongoing patient care.Must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.Requires proficiency with basic computer skills, knowledge of acute and chronic disease states, administration and prescription of medications, and delivering physical care following a treatment plan.
