Matheny is a special hospital for children and adults with medically complex developmental disabilities. Mathenys mission is to provide exceptional care and an optimal quality of life for children and adults with special needs and medically complex developmental disabilities. Founded by Walter and Marquerite Matheny in 1951, the Matheny of today is a pioneer in providing fully integrated, personalized care and education that respects each person's dignity and encourages their highest potential. Growing AbilitiesDuties of this position include:Conducts accurate and thorough client/student examinations in the hospital or education environment using departmental format.Identifies Physical Therapy Diagnosis and Prognosis to direct appropriate plan of care for each client/student.Implements effective Procedural (Direct) Interventions for each client/student based on the results of the assessment process.Provides coordination, communication and documentation to support the client/students functional outcome(s) and program needs.Performs client/student related instruction to support the client/students functional outcome(s) and program needs.Provides consultative services within the organization and/or to outside agencies regarding environmental and/or service provision issues.Participates in educational programs intended to enhance the knowledge, skills and competencies of others.Performs transdisciplinary roles to optimize client/students carryover of functional outcome(s) and program needs.Participates in department duties and responsibilities necessary to provide effective and efficient services.Participates in training and studies to enhance knowledge base in the specialty practice of Pediatrics and Developmental Disabilities.For Full Time employees, Matheny offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package that includes medical/dental, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, tax deferred retirement plan, and generous paid time off.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university required.Minimum of 3 years clinical experience required.Licensure/Certifications:New Jersey Physical Therapy License required.PM22
