Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversees, cross-trains and serves as back-up to accountant and VP of Finance.
Reviews monthly invoicing to all funders.
Reviews monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting for funders.
Assist with maintenance of monthly entries within Intacct accounting software.
Performs monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.
Assists VP of Finance with month end close and monthly preparation of financial statements by reviewing and analyzing monthly revenues and expenses.
Responsible for reviewing monthly funder budget to actuals with department heads.
Responsible for creation of preliminary budgets for grants as needed.
Assists VP of Finance and external CPA firm with preparation of annual tax returns (5500, 990).
Assists VP of Finance with management of company 403(b) retirement plan and the plan's annual audit and filings.
Responsible for collaborating with funder auditors as needed.
Performs other accounting/finance functions as requested.

Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to handle confidential information.
Sound judgment, a cooperative attitude, the ability to accept responsibility and follow directions, and be able to work with minimal direction or supervision.
Strong MS Office Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds while exhibiting awareness and acceptance of cultural differences of clients, staff, and community contacts.
Background compliance with Florida Department of Juvenile Justice requirements.
Education and Experience:
BS degree in accounting or related field required.
Minimum 3 years of nonprofit accounting experience including cost reimbursement grants required.
Excellence in Microsoft Office 365
Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
Frequent sitting, standing and/or walking.
Compensation:
Salary: $62,000
Job type: Full-time - 35 hours
