Job summary:
Responsible to complete various types of weld preparation, the actual welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Responsibilities
:Proficient in assigned welding techniquesInterpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolsKnowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys and aluminumWorking knowledge of fixtures and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)Cut position and clamp together fabricated and raw metal products preparatory to weld.Use of conventional and precision measuring instrumentsProcess inspection, certification, and documentationSome knowledge of welding equipment maintenanceFinish grinding applications using manual and power toolsFollow all safety regulations and precautions and maintain housekeeping in the working areaPerforms other work as assigned.
Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
Must possess a HS Diploma, GED or equivalentMust have previous experience in various forms of welding.Must be able to read and understand EnglishMust be able to read tape measureAttention to detailStrong work ethic; Be a team playerMust be able to climb, twist, bend and stoop.Must have use of hands and be able to work over-head.Must be able to stand, squat, and grasp.Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
