When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment.

2 years’ experience current required in an 18 plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit required. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment.

Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

CERTIFICATIONS

: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Traveler must pass the BCA testing during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA test will be dismissed.

3 Weekend shifts in a 4 week scheduling period -

Shifts will be in the Emergency Department tending to Progressive Care level patients who are awaiting an inpatient bed. Ratios will be the same as the typical inpatient unit. Nurses will tend to the patients just as they would on an inpatient unit, only the location will differ.

However, staff

may fluctuate to fulfill other department staffing needs. On call and holidays may be required.

Travelers are first to float

within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location and to all areas in which they are trained, including alternate holding areas to care for appropriate patients, including PresNow ED/UC (freestanding urgent/emergent care facilities).

EPIC EMR experience preferred.

ORIENTATION

: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40total hours, and includes EPIC training.
