Job Description:
The Job/What You'll Do: AssetMark is seeking a strategic, results-driven professional to lead the development of a comprehensive sourcing and procurement strategy for our organization. The successful candidate will lead sourcing projects with business leaders while managing a multitude of sourcing relationships. This role will require both high-level strategic thinking and a hands-on approach to develop a sourcing strategy that aligns with our company's growth objectives and operational needs. We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office locations in Phoenix, AZ, Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy:
Create a long-term procurement and sourcing strategy that supports business growth, enhances cost-effectiveness, and ensures the procurement of high-quality products and services Supplier Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring high performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery Cost Optimization:
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality by implementing effective sourcing tactics Market Analysis:
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, and market pricing dynamics Process Improvement:
Design and implement procurement processes, tools, and technologies that streamline workflows, reduce lead times, and improve supplier performance Risk Management:
Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions, ensuring continuity of supply in both day-to-day operations and during crises Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams such as Legal, Finance, and Operations to align procurement activities with overall business objectives Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of market trends and risk management strategies Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and foster a collaborative environment Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain strategy roles Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies that deliver measurable business impact Experience with procurement tools and technologies (e.g., ERP systems, procurement software) Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $135,000-$160,000.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered.
