Position: Lockbox Specialist Extractor and KeyerContract: 6+ months ContractLocation: Onsite, 4910 Tiedeman in Brooklyn OHSchedule:
Saturday and Sunday 7:30 am to 6:00pmPay Rate: 18/hr. on W2Job DescriptionUnder direct supervision, the Specialist is primarily focused on execution of basic processing work following defined procedures. The Specialist is also responsible for routine operational and/or administrative work and escalates any issues.Essential Job DutiesThis role covers a combination of staff within the areas of credit cards, retail banking, small business banking, consumer lending, mortgage banking, collections, recovery, origination, or auto finance and cover a broad range of responsibilities and duties Administers defined procedures, analyses, tasks and report preparation while receiving explicit instructions for filing, recording, processing, servicing, recording, and/or organization of documentation associated with a product or process May assist in reviewing or ensuring proper documentation or procedures are used for basic activities Performs basic routine tasks assigned by manager. May provide service in relation routine billing inquiries, service requests, suggestions and complaints from customers Completes work by following clear defined proceduresOther duties as assignedRequired and/or Preferred Qualifications
Experience & Education0-1 years of experience with working knowledge of the business or general office skills High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required. College degree preferredSkillsets Required at all Specialist LevelsWorks well with others in a fully developed team environment Open minded and adaptable to new ideas in a changing environment Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Proficient in 10-Key, able to perform with a high degree of speed and accuracy. Proven ability to handle monetary/ processing functions independently Proven ability to handle high transaction volumes accurately and meet production goalsLeveling SkillsProven effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills Good judgment knowing when to escalate issues Ability to identify, assess and escalate concerns appropriately Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications Basic knowledge of banking policies, procedures, government regulations Ability to perform simple scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance functions Excellent customer service skillsLOB Specific Skills(Examples)
Open mail and extract paper invoices/checks (Applicants will be tested to determine extraction skills) Properly sort non-payment documents for processing Accurately batch work and communicate issues to Workflow Coordinator or Supervisor Cross training in other functional areas is required to maintain coverage in critical department functions, e.g., mail sort, keying, reassociation, and data entry. Other duties as assigned.
