We have partnered with our client in their search for an AWS Backend Engineer.

Responsibilities

As a Backend Engineer on AWS, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of a mostly serverless implementation of a mobile platform, including scalable Lambda-based APIs, real-time streaming (IoT, WebSockets, Kinesis), databases (Elasticache, RDS, Dynamo), WAF, VPC, IAM Auth, User security and Authentication (Cognito, passed token), logging and monitoring as well as auto-scale, availability and redundancy.This role takes what Product, UX and UI have designed and makes the supporting platform a well-architected reality.You will work closely with the UI team to integrate the solutions.Skills Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar field.Proven 10 years of work experience as a backend developer with a concentration on AWS.Proficient in Java and Python.Experience with the IDE of your choosing (VS Code, IntelliJ, etc.).Experience with developing unit tests and complete test coverage (jUnit, PyUnit, Pytest, Lettuce, Behave).Experience in real-time applications.Experience with gaming.Experience with git/bitbucket and CICD workflows.Experience with AWS and AWS Services:API Gateway (HTTP and Websocket)VPCWAFIAMLambdaKinesisAWS Cognito and other auth mechanismsDynamoDB, RDS, ElasticacheCloudWatch, CloudTrailIoTExperience with core technologies:TerraformCloudformationKubernetesAirflowGraphQLSQLDatadogExperience implementing fault-tolerant and highly available systems.Understanding of OOP design principles and reusable code.Linux proficiency.Ability to contribute to design, test, release and application support.Title
