Shield AI is just the place for you!The Avionics Team is responsible for cradle to grave ownership of all V-BAT avionics. This includes custom circuits, simulations, harnessing, 3rd party modules, advanced payloads, sensors, compute, RF, and telemetry. A key objective is to design and deploy hardware to enable autonomous behaviors. This is accomplished through rigorous engineering analysis, debugging, failing fast, iterate, and execute with cross-functional teams.What you'll do:

Own flight critical avionics from concept through production including rapid prototypingOwn new avionics architectures as we evolve and advance V-BAT capabilitiesDebug, root cause, and repair electrical hardware issues. Drive improvements to prevent reoccurrence and increase reliability. Become fluent with aircraft schematics, wiring diagrams, interfaces, communications, and mechanical designDeliver novel autonomous features through collaboration with Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded, Manufacturing, Product Management, Flight Test, etc.Support aircraft flight operations and data review the responsible authority for evaluating aircraft health, performance, real-time debug and resolutionResolve technical challenges with rigor, analysis, and testingOther duties as assigned.Required qualifications:

You have a B.S. degree or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another field related to embedded systems3+ years engineering experience in electrical system design, integration, testing, debug, and repairComfortable using circuit schematics and wiring diagramsStrong engineering analysis and debug fundamentalsExperience leading small cross-functional engineering teamsDemonstrated track record of assuming ownership of and delivering outstanding outcomesStrong communication skills, both written and verballyDemonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others$104,888 - $157,333 a year
