What You'll Do
The Managing Director, Customer Support Business Group (CSBG) Finance Controller oversees the Finance team supporting CSBG product groups and reports to the Group VP, Chief Accounting Officer and Business Finance. The CSBG Controller is also the Finance business partner to the CSBG General Manager and Business Operations.
This position will require a broad range of finance experience including business analysis, creation and tracking of performance metrics, cross functional team leadership and compliance/internal controls. He/she will require strong business acumen, coupled with excellent leadership and influencing skills to navigate in a matrixed environment suited to a high-performance culture, strong teamwork and partnership with multiple stakeholders across Lam.
As Finance
business partner
to the CSBG management team, this role will perform analytics and provide solution options to support decision making, identify and mitigate risks and capture opportunities to meet business and financial objectives. Examples include:Provide finance guidance to CSBG Business Development and account teams in developing CSBG offerings to customers that meet business and financial objectives taking into consideration local regulations and tax implications.Support Business Operations in delivering in-quarter revenue and margin commitments through close collaboration with the Region.Provide advice in setting strategies for growing revenue annuity from Spares, Service and Upgrades businesses and expanding served available market for the systems business; maintain long term financial models.CSBG controller must also ensure effective and efficient financial
compliance and operations , including:
Work closely and effectively with various corporate groups, such as Corporate Accounting, Sales Operations, Revenue Accounting, Tax and Internal Audits teams to support various business, accounting, reporting and compliance initiatives.Own and manage quarterly financial forecasts process to ensure latest business conditions are reflected in the P&L commitment; lead Balance Sheet Review process to improve internal controls and mitigate business and process risks.Support and provide visibility on CSBG financial performance e.g. weekly flash reporting; leverage key metrics and dashboards to review trends and identify opportunities.Take an active part in Corporate FP&A initiatives including financial systems enhancement projects. Be a change agent to improve forecasting and reporting processes with a drive towards streamlining and process simplification.CSBG Controller
leads and develops a global team
of fourteen with a mix of onsite members in Fremont, Tualatin, Taiwan and India and remote members. He/ She must create a high performing and collaborative culture, ensuring common goals and knowledge are shared timely within the team. CSBG Controller will also be a close partner to all Regions where Spares and Service activities are executed.
Who We're Looking For
Minimum of 18+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 15+ years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 11+ years experience; or equivalent experience.10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, or a related role, with at least 10 years in a leadership position.Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.Proven track record of developing and executing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Experience in the semiconductor industry or a high-tech manufacturing environment.Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $219,000 to $405,000
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
