Supervisory Responsibilities: Growers/Grow Laborers
Work Status: Full-Time
Overview: Following policies set forth by the Company in concert with the Senior Director of Cultivation, provide support in the general operation of the cultivation department through exhibiting oversight of the daily crop fertilization delivery programs, maintenance of crop feeding schedules, chemical & fertilizer inventory maintenance, fertigation system upkeep and maintenance, supply acquisition, troubleshooting of fertigation system errors, the documentation of daily crop data, nutrient testing equipment calibration, soil monitoring, and the drafting and implementation of fertigation related standard operating procedures. Essential Functions: Implement and maintain the departments comprehensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Plan for the cultivation facility using approved pesticides, beneficial insects, and approved biocontrol agents
Ensure that proper Re-entry Interval (REI) notifications & signage are posted and communicated to staff when applicable
Ensure the documentation of every pesticide, insecticide, or beneficial insect application that occurs in the cultivation facility
Manage the cleaning and regularly scheduled maintenance of application equipment
Communicate clearly and coordinate effectively with cultivation staff to ensure that spray and drench applications do not disrupt routine cultivation operations
Work collaboratively with the fertigation supervisor to deliver soil drench compounds through the fertigation system to combat rhizosphere (root zone) pests when necessary
Support the operations of the cultivation staff through supervision of the safe and efficient completion of tasks.
Supervise and train a team of IPM technicians responsible for applying IPM compounds in a safe and effective manner
Routinely scout cultivation facility for plant pests and generate IP treatment plan maps for application technicians to follow
Generate work orders for proper chemical mixing
Other duties as assigned

Monitor productivity of Assistant Grower(s) and Grow Laborer(s).
Flexible work schedule required; to include covering a vacant shift and/or facility issues in emergency situations as needed.
Represent the company in a professional manner when communicating or interacting with all local community, state, or federal officials.
Observe and maintain all safety procedures and protocols
Additional Functions: Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the department or company as needed and/or requested by their direct supervisor.
Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.
Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately.
Ability to apply appropriate public relations skills in various situations and circumstances and to facilitate change as needed.
The ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
Must be proficient in Windows based software and point of sale applications.
Must have excellent communications skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with complex statutes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and laws.
Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, governmental agencies, community members and the general public.
Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.
Additional Requirements: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must pass any and all required background checks
Must have a medical evaluation and respirator fit test performed upon commencing employment
Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Minimum Education and Experience: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.
Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting and repetitive motions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to elevated levels of C02 in cannabis grow rooms
The cultivation environment is a tropical climate where molds and fungus may be found on surfaces periodically
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 60 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong smelling marijuana odors, bright lighting conditions, and be able to tolerate exposure to cannabis.
