Hybrid Work Environment (3 days office/ 2 days remote) - Direct Hire
ARC Group is seeking a Data Engineer for a Fortune 500 client in the Banking/Finance sector. This direct hire position offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Candidates can be based in Charlotte, NC, or any of the client's other offices in the listed cities. Our client is looking for a Data Engineer with intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Python, Tableau, or related tools.

Job Description
The Data Engineer will drive data engineering efforts to deliver enterprise-wide capabilities and complex data solutions. Key responsibilities include directing code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation, and control of data in operational and analytical data systems. The role involves working with the Project Management team to define outcomes and inform work structures. This position requires technical thought leadership in implementing complex data solutions and interactions across multiple systems and domains.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a range of analytics and automation solutions, including data extraction, analysis, reporting, and dashboard design.Engage in more advanced analytics, including statistical analysis, text mining & NLP, and modeling/machine learning/AI.Interact with highly experienced audit and/or credit professionals, data experts, and technology teams.Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional requirements.Maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate large data sets for operational and analytical data systems.Build complex processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management.Define and build data pipelines to enable data-informed decision-making.Contribute to existing test suites, including integration, regression, and performance testing.Lead the identification of gaps in data management standards adherence and work with partners to develop plans to close gaps.Mentor Data Engineers in the delivery and release of continuous integration and continuous delivery events.Utilize analytical skills to independently develop analytics & automated testing solutions using tools like Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, SAS, and Python.Support the design and execution of new analytics, automated testing tools, and models.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each is completed efficiently and to a high standard.Coordinate, schedule, scope, and lead large, cross-functional analytics & automation activities.Exercise judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills to influence business partners.Coach/train junior team members in the execution of analytics and automation activities.Required Skills
Five or more years of relevant experience in Data Engineering.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Python, Tableau, or related tools.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Advanced analytic skills, including the ability to navigate systems, access data, reconcile numbers, and understand data trends.Strong track record of implementing automated data & analytics solutions.Ability to work independently or in teams on multiple projects.Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and executive audiences.Desired Skills
