Join our expanding care-team of 7 anesthesia critical care physicians and 18 APPs at Tampa General Hospital, a level 1 trauma facility! This is a day shift opportunity on our highly collaborative team working 13 shifts/month. A master's degree in nursing is required, board certified ACNP or PA required. Minimum 2 years of practice experience as critical care APRN/PA preferred.
Clinical responsibilities include:Work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team in assessing, examining and providing care to critically ill patients in the ICUManage medical and surgical (including vascular, thoracic, burn, and cardiac) patientsProvides emergent and urgent care to patients in critical conditionPerforms history and physical examination of patientsWrites orders and interprets laboratory data and radiological testsMonitors patient status and response to treatmentsDocuments findings in the ICU medical recordRecommends and initiates appropriate therapeutic interventionsPerforms procedures, such as but not limited to, intubation, bronchoscopy, central line placement, hemodialysis catheter placement, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis and paracentesisCommit to excellence in clinical service and demonstrate problem-solving abilities necessary to best serve our patientsTo learn more, apply today.
