Software Engineer
on one of our Remix product engineering teams, you’ll collaborate with our designers, product managers, and customers to build products that are intensely focused on transit accessibility, equity, and sustainability. Our stack is mostly Typescript (with React, Redux, and Mapbox), Rails, Python, and Postgres/PostGIS. However, it's more important to us that you have experience with full-stack, user-centric development in general than with our specific technologies.What You’ll Do:Lead in refining our planning products, empower planners to navigate new concepts, make data-driven decisions, and rally support behind visionary ideasForge strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and designers, to conceptualize and implement innovative featuresEngage directly with clients to deeply understand their needs, translate insights into robust solutions that exceed expectationsApply your extensive expertise across diverse technologies within our tech stack to ensure seamless end-to-end user experiencesDrive discussions on engineering best practices and architectural strategies within your relevant area of expertiseSpearhead the optimization of processes and tools to elevate productivity and uphold the highest standards of code qualityWho You Are:Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in full-stack, user centric developmentMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Typescript (with React, Redux, and Mapbox), Rails, Python, and Postgres/PostGISMission-driven: you’re passionate about companies with strong values and missions.User-centric: you find value in talking to customers and addressing core customer needs.Collaborative, humble, empathetic, and feedback-drivenExperience in developing complex React applications is a plus, but not requiredExperience with geospatial or mapping technologies is a plus, but not requiredCompensation and Benefits:Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.
