The Software Developer I - Symitar assists in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that integrate with the Symitar Episys core banking system. This role has a knowledge of the entire software development life cycle, from conception, deployment, and maintenance. The Software Developer I will be skilled in front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries.Principle Duties And Responsibilities

Willingness and ability to exhibit Wellby Core Values every day.Works purposefully and is driven to provide the best team member experience.Fully understand and be able to support all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle.Administrator of the Symitar/Episys platform, which includes coordinating and executing software upgrades, testing, and deployments.Utilizes Symitar’s built-in programming tools (e.g., RepGen, SymForm, SymConnect, PowerFrame, etc.) to conduct a full range of programming tasks, including data reporting, program design, program coding, and debugging.Perform analysis, design, development (coding), and unit testing working with architects to design different modules of products.Performing unit testing, integration testing, and participating in system testing to validate software functionality and performance.Create and design database, views, stored procedures, T-SQL, statements, and user-defined functions. Use extensive checks and design patterns to optimize product performance and provide a highly secure user environment to prevent data loss.Designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications that interact with the Symitar Episys system. This involves analyzing stakeholder requirements, developing technical specifications, and implementing software solutions.Developing interfaces and integrating third-party applications with the Symitar Episys core banking system. This includes working with Symitar's proprietary programming language, PowerOn, to extend and customize the system's functionality.Performing regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the stability and performance of the Symitar software. This includes troubleshooting issues, applying patches and updates, and monitoring system performance.Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and release notes. This documentation helps understand the software architecture, facilitate future enhancements and support end-users.Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, quality assurance professionals, and project managers, to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver software solutions within project timelines.Staying up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Symitar software development. Identifying opportunities for process improvements, optimization, and automation to enhance the development lifecycle.Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, including addressing software defects, answering inquiries, and resolving system issues related to the Symitar software.Integration and management of third-party APIs.Manage solution integrations that interact solely with Episys (i.e., statements).Test software in a sandbox environment (TestSym) to ensure responsiveness and efficiency before deploying to a production environment.Coding of infrastructure systems to deploy & operate an automated & containerized development/production environment.Represent the core team in conversations related to the strategy with other business leaders.Must possess financial-industry business acumen that allows technical conversations to be translated into business language and vice versa.Work with stakeholders and business leaders to ideate software solutions.Collaborate with senior management to identify, develop, and prioritize special projects aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.Ensures compliance with Wellby policies, procedures, Service Standards, and the Bank Secrecy Act.Completes all mandatory compliance testing by deadlines. Implements processes as required by the Bank Secrecy Act and Wellby policies and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSA)

Knowledge of Wellby’s organizational functions, and general operating policies and procedures.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).Knowledge with financial industry standards for data security and regulatory requirements.Knowledge of PowerOn and Episys.Knowledge of data structure, logic, and algorithms to accomplish business needs.Knowledge of database applications (i.e. SQL).Knowledge of JavaScript stack, including React.js/Angular/Node.js.Skilled in software development methodologies, version control systems, and software testing practices.Skilled in Symitar Episys core banking system and its programming language, PowerOn.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.Ability to efficiently understand and follow oral and written instructions, perform routine duties without close supervision and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members.Ability to coordinate several concurrent activities simultaneously.Ability to use research to resolve issues and escalate issues as needed.Ability to create applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React JS, React Native, .NET C#, JAVA, JSON, XML, or similar programming languages.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve team success.Supervisory Responsibilities

Team member does not have any supervisory responsibilities.Complexity & Scope of Work

The team member performs a moderate number of routine and generally related tasks without supervisory direction.Instructions to the team member may be general or specific in nature.Courses of action are determined by established procedures and/or the Core Delivery Manager.The team member’s work is reviewed periodically for accuracy, completion, and compliance with the policies and procedures.Tasks may occasionally have to be coordinated, integrated, and/or prioritized.Physical Demands & Work Environment

Associates Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum one (1) year of relevant technical experience preferred.Minimum one (1) year or more of Symitar PowerOn programming experience preferred.Minimum one (1) year or more of hand-on knowledge of other Symitar-based technologies such as SymXchange, SymConnect, and SymForm etc preferred.Experience integrating and developing web services APIs (REST/SOAP) preferred.Experience with Cloud services like Azure DevOps preferred.Experience with JavaScript stack, including React.js/Angular/Node.js preferred.For All Candidates
