You will have a significant bottom-line impact on our business results. You will have the opportunity to develop deep expertise in areas like distributed systems, storage engines, open source applications and performance optimization, and contribute to the leading open source big data and analytic frameworks.If you are interested in designing and implementing large-scale distributed data systems, have a high quality bar and a passion for solving challenging problems, we need you! Come innovate with us!This position will involve on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don't like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don't get paged for the same issue twice.Basic Qualifications3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languagePreferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
