Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer (Platform) to join our growing organization in Ft. Liberty, NC (formerly Ft. Bragg).
This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. You will work with a team of diverse architects and engineers with backgrounds in PaaS, DevOps, Security, and IaaS operations in order to spread knowledge and practices. All in support of the Government Program Office’s global cloud and platform services environments.
This role is contingent upon concurrence from USG*This position is sign-on bonus eligible**This role is 100% on-site***
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to :
Responsible for provisioning cloud infrastructure (i.e., AWS, Azure) and creating/using infrastructure as code (i.e., Terraform)Responsible for creating and maintaining pipelines to deploy containerized applications onto Kubernetes-based platform. Be able to proficiently triage and troubleshoot issues as they ariseResponsible for the creation and maintenance of object-storage solutions (i.e., Ceph) in support of platform environmentsMust be a self-starting problem solver who proactively pursues technological solutions within the confines of given direction and intentResponsible for collaborating closely with various teams, sometimes geographically dispersed, and organizations of differing technical skillsets and responsibilities

Knowledge And Skills
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experienceRelevant experience in developing and deploying cloud and platform automationRelevant experience in designing and building scalable containerized applicationsRelevant experience in IP networking, load balancing, and DNSGood written and technical briefing skills – can effectively communicate with teammates and leadershipComfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing workplace
Education
A degree in STEM related field of studyDOD 8570 IAT Level II required
Other Qualifications
US CitizenshipDoD Clearance: Must hold Active Top Secret ClearanceMust be SCI Eligible
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with identity and access management technologies and solutionsExperience with Agile development methodologies; using collaboration tools such as Jira and ConfluenceExperience with monitoring and logging solutions, specifically Splunk
