Salary Range:
$64.00 - $88.00 per hour DOE
Position Summary
We are immediately seeking a Subject Matter Expert to join our motivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES) Division and support our Network Enabled Weapons (NEW) Fleet Support Team in one of the following fleet concentration areas: Whidbey Island, WA, Lemoore, CA, Oceana, VA or Fallon, NV. The ACES Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world-class military aviation training, products, and support. As part of ACES, the NEW team provides the latest information on aircraft software features and weapon functionality to warfighters so that they can be successful in combat.
The NEW training program is dynamic and challenging. The team delivers between four and six Network Enabled Weapon University (NEW U) courses per year and supports multiple naval exercises in Europe and the Pacific. Travel locations include all domestic Fleet concentration areas as well as Europe, Asia, and Australia. A NEW team member should expect to travel frequently in support of warfighter training.
Responsibilities
Research, process, and distill complex technical material for meaningful and engaging presentation to fleet Naval Aviators.Conduct professional, in-person training to large and small groups of aircrew with varied experience levels.Cross-train and assist other priority efforts within ACES.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. Combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of degree.Minimum of eight years as F/A-18 or F-35 TMS aircrew. SFTI qualification preferred.Comprehensive technical and functional knowledge of F-35 weapon and mission systems.Valid state driver license.Travel (20%) required to various work sites throughout the U.S.U.S. citizenship with a current and active Secret clearance, with TS/SCI eligibility.Eligible for SAP/SAR programs.

Enthusiasm and commitment to a working environment requiring intense collaboration, robust communication, and coordination with various operational squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence.Experience with various operational squadrons, training squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence.Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Defense (DoD) federal contractors and the aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation industry.Excellent customer service skills.Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects.
