Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up CNC machines, such as mills and lathes by installing and aligning tools, workpieces, and fixtures.

Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts based on program specifications and blueprints.

Load raw materials into the machine and ensure they are properly secured for machining operations.

Monitor machine performance during operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to understand the machining requirements.

Determine the sequence of operations, machine settings, and tooling requirements for each job.

Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters based on design specifications.

Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Ensure that finished parts meet tolerances and quality standards specified by the design.

Identify and correct any defects or errors in machined parts to minimize waste and maintain production efficiency.

Make minor adjustments or edits to CNC programs at the machine control to improve part quality and machining efficiency.

Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues or programming errors to prevent downtime.

Collaborate with CNC programmers to resolve any complex programming problems or technical challenges.

Other duties as assigned.
