You will work on the back-end components of our software solutions, especially API services.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other developers, to deliver high-quality software products and be passionate about creating scalable and efficient software solutions.Our ideal candidate will immediately provide value by:Designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable API services to support our applications.Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.Collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Implementing data storage solutions and ensuring the reliability and performance of database queries.Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.Staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software development, data processing, caching, cloud deployment, distributed computing, and API development.To be a successful match, you must have:Equivalent experience or bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.4 years or more of hands-on Backend API Development experience.Developed and maintained server-side applications using Node web frameworks such as Express.js.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus.Proficiency in front-end technologies is a plus, such as modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).Experience with Redis or other caching technologies on AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.What We OfferCompetitive salary and equity package, and holistic perks and benefits, including:100% health insurance coverage, with ability to join group dental and vision for a nominal fee.Team lunches every Thursday in NYC office.4% 401K matching.20 paid time off days.5 paid sick days.12 weeks of paid parental leave.10+ annual company holidays.Opportunities for professional development and growth within a dynamic environment.A supportive and inclusive company ethos where your ideas are valued, your contributions are recognized, and your impact is tangible.The chance to be part of a small but mighty team that's making waves in the industry and shaping the future of technology.Beautiful HQ in Soho, NYC with the opportunity to work in-office, if desired.We are open to different backgrounds and tenure for this hire and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
