Jupiter is a leading energy storage independent power producer with development, engineering, trading, finance, operations, and construction capabilities.Position Description: OT Infrastructure EngineerThe OT (Operational Technology) Infrastructure Engineer will be focused on cyber-security, networking, and telecommunications in the electric power industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for key technology implementation at multiple datacenter locations linking to control centers.Jupiter will design, build, and operate the foundational technology which supports the critical monitoring and control applications, including secured remote access to the company’s assets. In 2024/2025, Jupiter will add infrastructure and systems to support the growth of the company. Jupiter will add key critical systems which backbone our ability to effectively manage assets and maximize our capability to deliver power and services to the market.This key role will be hands-on and deeply involved in the design, configuration, and operation of Jupiter’s operational technology of security appliances, network infrastructure, SDWANs, datacenters, plant-level systems, and key other applications supporting the operation of this technology.The ideal candidate will have expertise and experience in one or more of the above areas, with a willingness to help bridge gaps as the company builds a small, capable team of technology professionals. The candidate may be required to manage outside contractors during times of rapid growth and will require collaboration and coordination with the Corporate IT team.In the near future, Jupiter will build out multiple datacenter locations, implement a Generation Management System, build out a 24x7 dispatch center, and build our first application platform using the latest virtualization technology.Technology ExperienceLayer 2/3 plant networks, Routing, Firewalls, Carrier circuits. Specific hardware platforms include Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba/Silver peak, Hyper-V, Hirschmann, Moxa, and Fortinet. Experience working with industrial automation systems, manufacturing, or power generation is preferred.Candidate QualitiesMotivated, self-directed, works well with others, collaborative, and willingness to learn and expand skillset. Engineering or Computer Science degree required. Ability to document and design is essential. At least 5 years of experience is required.Demonstrated understanding of core network technology is necessary.
