The Front Desk Manager oversees and is responsible for the daily operations of the Front Desk (including Night Audit and Reservations), Tour Desk and Guest Services. The Front Desk Manager works closely with the staff in an efficient, courteous and dedicated manner to ensure that the guest’s expectations are exceeded. Provides quality services and enhances the guest experience while following the company and Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge’s policies.Arrive to work on time, ready to work, dressed in clean business casual attire, with a neat and clean appearanceOversee daily operations of Front Desk & Guest Services StaffTrain staff to ensure high level of customer service and efficiencyHandle complaints with a high level of efficiency and in the best interest of the guestDevelop and document the Front Desk training program to ensure consistency of proceduresMaintain safety and security measures within the department for guests, employees and propertyAttend department manager meetingsMaximize staffing, hour and wage levels for Front Desk & Guest Services employeesReview needs and position openings, working with Assistant General Manager to fill as neededWhat skills and experience do you need for this job?:
3-5 years Front Desk experience in a hotelMust be familiar with all phases of Front Desk, Tour Desk, Guest Service, and shuttle operationsBe computer literate and enjoy dealing with peopleKnowledge of basic accounting procedures for use in training for Night Audit positionAbility to perform cash handling problemsPossess strong leadership skills to manage and train staff appropriately in hospitalityGood communication skills are essentialPossess a consistent and even personality, be well-groomed in appropriate attireAble to work well under pressure, diffuse stressful situations for employees and guests alikeStrong forecasting skillsWhat will your work environment be like?:
