Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $52/hr (No Per Diem)
Weekly Pay
Schedule:
This position requires flexibility, with 50+ hours per week across 10-12 hour days. Day and night shifts are available, providing comprehensive coverage of each site's safety operations.
Project Scope:
This high-impact role supports the construction of a new offloading waxy crude oil facility for a railroad yard. The
Safety Manager
will play a critical part in maintaining a secure and compliant job site amid complex tasks, including welding, underground and overhanging piping, foundational concrete work, and extensive electrical installations. Responsibilities include monitoring the loading and offloading of waxy crude oil onto tanker cars, a highly sensitive operation demanding meticulous oversight and adherence to all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years in safety management, with preference for experience in welding, concrete, electrical, or piping work.
Certifications:
OSHA 500 required; OSHA 30 a plu
Language Skills:
Bilingual abilities are a significant advantage, though not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee safety compliance across active job sites, supervising around 70 workers at each location.
Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce comprehensive safety protocols to maintain compliance with all industry and regulatory standards.
Provide safety training and orientation for team members, ensuring everyone onsite understands and follows essential safety practices.
Maintain and review all safety documentation, working closely with Kinley, the general contractor, to uphold high standards of workplace safety.
Skills and Knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills.
Knowledgeable about EHS standards, particularly in oil facilities and construction.
