We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients in their homes. As a Respiratory Therapist you will be responsible for the set-up of related products for patients in the home setting, including therapeutics, diagnostics, high tech ventilation, oxygen, and other miscellaneous respiratory equipment. Reporting to: Departmental Lead, Supervisor or Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:30pm with on-call responsibilities.

Job Location: Smyrna, DE

Requirements:Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory SchoolMust have current RCP state licensure in the state inquiring employment and in good standingMust be willing to get cross-licensed in other states at the company's expenseMust have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standingAt least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is requiredExperience in the home care setting is highly desirableRRT certification requiredCurrent CPR- BLS certification requiredMust have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding our services to ensure complete satisfactionAbility to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources is essentialEnsures that the team plans daily events so as to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time)Assists with the proper scheduling of set ups and follow up visits according to company policies and standardsWorks closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient dischargesAbility to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policiesEnsures that the team follows proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actionsMaintains strong knowledge of PromptCare's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistentlyEnsures that the team maintains compliance to all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all timesFosters a culture wherein the team conducts activities with a mindset of delivering "white glove" service to the patients and family membersSubmits expense reports for travel at least once monthly and in a timely mannerOn-call responsibilities as needed

Manipulate small equipment and containers, such as syringes, vials, ampules, and medication packages, to administer medications. Coordinate fine and gross motor movements and hand/eye movement. Maintain balance from any position. Negotiate level surfaces, ramps, and stairs. Function with both hands free for performing psychomotor tasks. Maneuver in small areas. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 30 pounds or more.
