Application Developer

Akkodis is seeking an Application Developer for a Contract job with a client in Redmond, WA. You will lead the architecture and design of mobile applications, focusing on native Android development using Kotlin. Rate Range: $70/hour to $76/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Application Developer job responsibilities include: Lead the architecture and design of mobile applications, primarily for native Android using Kotlin. Developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers on best practices and coding standards. Writing testable code and implementing automated testing to ensure software reliability. Managing the full software development lifecycle, including source control management, build processes, and deployment to the Play Store. Utilizing REST architecture for integrating web services and ensuring seamless communication between components. Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve application performance. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on mobile applications. Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin, particularly in Android app development. Experience leading architecture and design efforts for mobile applications, including mentoring team members.
