Kelly Sonnack, Executive Literary Agent at Andrea Brown Literary Agency, is seeking a bright, highly motivated and organized assistant with strong communication skills. The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in the world of children's books (including picture books and visual storytelling) and is looking for a support role in publishing. Candidates must be able to work both independently and as part of a tight two-person team.This is an entry-level, full-time position based in San Diego. Health insurance is provided.Key Responsibilities:
The Agent Assistant will support the Executive Agent in all areas including managing and scheduling meetings and monitoring and organizing email.Proficiency with programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe is essential.Reading, assessing, and reporting on manuscripts.Tracking client materials and submissions.Corresponding directly with clients and publishing colleagues.Handling invoicing and tracking payments and keeping client payments up to date.Database management including updating and managing databases and logs, including using Trello and Airtable.Website management and editing.Salary:
$36-40KRequirements:
At least one year professional work experience.Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, with and without supervision.Strong organizational skills.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.Experience working in databases.Ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive environment.How To Apply For This Job:
