Overview

Flexjet is currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer who is passionate about innovation and web technologies to join our development team. Flexjet empowers software engineers to learn, innovate, and apply their skills to deliver technical solutions. We have a proven track record of helping build entry level programmers into mid-level and senior level software engineers. Our team has opportunities to work with varied departments for multiple brands across the private aviation industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work with a team to design, develop and troubleshoot high performance and high availability web applications utilized throughout the business.With experience, grow into the ability to independently manage and deliver projects.Analyze technical requirements to design new components and applications.Manage new and existing products and applications throughout their lifecycle.Advise and support colleagues where your expertise will facilitate the achievement of common goals.Introduce new solutions to the product and to your colleagues when appropriate for the business needs.Keep abreast of advancements in technologies and development techniques.Interact with all departments and end users acting in development, technical design, and support roles.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent formal training in related field or 2 years of equivalent work experience.Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), Relational and NOSQL databases, and scripted front-end programming.Knowledge of Agile methodology.Solid understanding and training in development of front-end websites, services/APIs, databases, cloud services, and the migration of legacy applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Working knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (Java or C#) along with the associated IDE and at least one Front-end Scripting framework (preferably Angular).Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software as necessary with an excitement for learning and a drive to grow as a developer.Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and exhibit relationship management skills.Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices.Exceptional attention to detail.Well-developed interpersonal skills that promote and foster a team culture.Candidate should drive towards team solutions instead of independent heroism.Possess excellent organizational skills, and communication skills both written and verbal.
