Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities associated with creating software across multiple functional areas and products. Prioritizes and allocates projects, products, and resources with the assistance of architects and managers. Participates in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the software products. Makes employment decisions, such as hiring, rewarding. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a multi-team or cross-functional organization. Directs software development projects to include, ensuring that projects are completed on time and according to quality standards, facilitating communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information. Organizes projects through development of a project plan which includes communication of product goals as defined by top management, definition of project strategy, identification of the roles and responsibilities of key project groups, development of a schedule with key milestones, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of project resources. Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
Qualifications
RequiredMinimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; 10 years of lieu of degree.
Knowledge of NiFi and NiFi clustersUnderstanding of microservices and their use within a distributed architectureExcellent interpersonal skills to mentor and coach teammates.Ability to collaboratively interact with customers including senior management, data scientists, and end users.TS/SCI with polyDesiredUnderstanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as K8s.Decomposing functional requirements into technical specifications and tasks.Software development and maintenance using tools and languages such as Java, SQL, JavaScript libraries, HTML, XML, Python, Spark, etc.Developing APIs and web services for integration between systems and services.Experience with Agile development methodologiesExperience with SecDevOps processes.Designing and delivering software solutions for the Sponsor.Supporting and leading software security accreditation processes, developing required artifacts, coordinating with sponsor infosec, implementing security requirements and remediationsKnowledge of automation tools such as Python, Powershell, Terraform, AnsibleExperience with development in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Google CloudPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
