You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.The Cloud Interconnect team is part of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and we develop and manage services that allows customers to connect their on-premises network to GCP through a fast, reliable, low-latency fiber link.The Cloud Interconnect Virtual Infrastructure team is a team of Software Engineers (SWEs) within the larger Cloud Interconnect team. Our primary focus is delivering the core infrastructure and differentiator features powering Cloud Interconnect, and various horizontal programs. In this role, you will focus on leading and driving various differentiator feature offerings for Cloud Interconnect, such as observability.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.ResponsibilitiesDrive the goal and investment directions of the areas, such as observability.Lead other more junior team members to collectively work toward the agreed goals for the feature areas.Develop and maintain distributed systems in multiple languages, especially C++ and Python, conforming to Google-wide standards.Design and implement customer requested interconnect features through multiple stages such as requirements gathering, proposing design, and building agreement among the key stakeholders, implementing and rolling out to production.Participate in Cloud Interconnect product design discussions and collaborate with various Google internal teams such as Cloud Interconnect Physical Infrastructure, Google Global Networking (GGN), GCP API, GCP UI in implementation and delivery of these designs.
