The right candidate will serve as a technical and engineering lead for design reviews, plans reviews, commissioning of new infrastructure systems, and provide engineering assistance in troubleshooting of system failures. Performs general technical duties and is expected to maintain current technical knowledge and appropriate certifications. Tracks actions to completion assigned to FSMB via cables, LN’s and generated via PM’s. Deploys as required to assist in deployments, tests, and installations. Assists in preparing equipment for shipment. Assists in the development of recapitalization plans for station infrastructure based on documented life-cycle programmatic data for all customer field infrastructure.Required Skills:Minimum 8 years’ experience with facilities design, maintenance, renovation, and construction project management at overseas/domestic locations incorporating unique Sponsor requirementsStrong written communication skillsStrong representational and communications skills that enable close relationships with senior technical officers in the organization and throughout the communityExperience formulating and executing large facilities construction, maintenance and repair budgetsKnowledge of federal building & safety codesDemonstrated ability to read and understand construction documents.Experience in preparing contract documentation, to include: market surveys, technical SOW, and other contract documents (SSJ, CDCG, financial documents, etc.)Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as they apply to A&E and construction contractingKnowledge of Department of State overseas facilities procedures and standardsKnowledge of overseas construction security requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPointDesired Skills:PMP CertificationExperience with process improvement technologiesFamiliarization with COMSEC policies/regulationsFamiliarity with the FS MAXIMO Asset Management SystemAdvanced degree in engineeringAdditional Requirements:Additional Technical and Specialty Training/Certifications Etc.Years of Experience Required: 16+Education Level/Major: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University in Architecture, Engineering or related field. Equivalent Experience may be Substituted for Educational RequirementWeapons Certification: Not required for hire, but must be willing and capable of becoming certifiedOCONUS TDY Required: Up to 20% OCONUS travel, including hazard areas as requiredCONUS TDY Required: Up to 10% CONUS travel, as requiredMust have TS/SCI security clearance with Poly on day one and be eligible for crossover.This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award.
