Our locations are Palo Alto, CA US, New York City, NY US, Kohler, WI US, Seoul, Korea, and Tel Aviv, Israel.Come join Kohler Ventures as Sr. Frontend Engineer.In your role as Sr. Frontend Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will:Work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teamsDesign web applications with cloud backend that can scale with the business growth of Kohler VenturesBuild the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to understand and drive requirements with hardware/software teams.Coordinate with product development teams to execute rollout/adoption of common libraries, services, and patterns.Measurably improve code normalization across one or more critical code concerns throughout the codebase.Skills/RequirementsYou hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.Proficiency in one or more prominent programming languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript and ReactJS or NextJS.Frontend Development: Design and develop responsive web applications using React.js, ensuring high performance and a polished user experience across multiple devices.Dashboard Creation: Build interactive dashboards that provide real-time insights and analytics for monitoring IoT device performance and data streams.Portal Development: Develop portals and administrative interfaces to manage IoT systems, providing users with intuitive tools to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot devices.Integration with Backend Services: Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.Continuous Improvement: Drive best practices in front-end development, including code quality, scalability, and performance optimizations.User Experience Optimization: Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive navigation and seamless interaction flows.Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.Proficiency in building responsive web applications using React, Redux, and related libraries.Experience with eCommerce development and integration, including payment gateway solutions like Stripe.Solid understanding of frontend build tools, such as Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn.Knowledge of CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less) and modern UI frameworks (e.g., Material-UI, Ant Design).Minimal travel both domestic and international as needed. Availability to work outside of standard business hours to be able to collaborate with teams and vendors across multiple time zones.We will consider applicants requiring sponsorship for this opportunity.The approved base salary range for this position is $103,950 - $145,000.
The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 16% of base salary for the NYC metro area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $120,582- $168,200 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive.
